MIDDLETON MA
Norm Nathan Bandstand
Middleton Town Common
Built - 2001

The town of Middleton is located in northeastern Massachusetts 19 miles from Boston. It is a place of modern services although the librarian knows the residents' favorite books, policemen have friendly faces and the townspeoples' dogs may have the same license number every year.
Their large Middleton Town Common was the perfect choice for the building of the Norm Nathan Bandstand in 2001 built by Jean Noel Morin as a gift of the town from the Kiwanis Club through various fund raising activities and auctions. The structure is the town's first and has been used quite extensively since built.
Numerous concerts, a presentation of a "deed" to the town and a special unveiling of a plaque in Norm Nathan's memory was given with state representatives and senators in attendance has been held on the bandstand. Mr. Nathan was a very active part of the town for many years serving as a moderator and school committee member as well as a dedicated Kiwanian. He is best remembered as a highly respected radio personality who had a very large following for many years on different talk radio stations.
