Winthrop's Norcross Point Bandstand was built in 1991 by the Central Maine Technical College as a venue for concerts, weddings, birthdays, reunions and other events all spring, summer and fall. The structure is situated in a perfect place, near the parking lot and with a marvelous view of the lake from where it is situated on Norcross Point. Various bands have played during holidays and the summer and is used as a venue for 4th of July and other community events.
