VOLUNTOWN CT
Voluntown Gazebo
The Green
Built - 2003

The town of Voluntown is located in the southeastern part of the state of Connecticut on the Rhode Island border. It was settled in 1708 and later incorporated in 1721. Voluntown is mostly an agricultural community and encompasses several attractive lakes and ponds.
It's "gazebo" was built in the Fall of 2003 behind the town hall and library and is the first structure the town has had. The bandstand was built by The Stonington Post and Beam by a Mr. Donald Barber and volunteers through donations and town funds. A few local bands have used the structure as its venue along with Irish music and special events throughout the summer months by the Voluntown Library.
